Mona Lisa

First aired in 1952, it was evident that TV producers had not yet figured out that catchy theme music was necessary to define a show. If your eyes were closed, you`d think that you were watching Gang Busters, or Federal Men, or some other such action show. Anyway, Mona Lisa is a standard potboiler with the Louvre as the backdrop in Paris. Theft, deception, murder, its all there and fun to watch.

Saigon Incident

This 1953 program features a dashing international man of intrigue. Unless you are 80 years old and saw the show when it came out, it will surprise and amaze you that it is none other than `The Captain` on Gilligan`s Island, Alan Hale Jr. He was 50 pounds lighter and it`s a treat to watch him playing something other than a buffoon. In fact, he was an excellent character actor in the mold of his Dad, lan Hale, Sr. who graced the big screen for many years with splendid character performances.

The London Incident

Biff Baker sure gets around, as did many of the TV4U show Action adventurers. Seems that they thought that dashing leading men like Cesar Romero, Brian Donlevy, and Alan Hale, Jr. would sell a lot of soap if they traveled every week to distant locations. Probably a bad idea, since none of these shows really made it, and were never much in syndication. Works for us, though, as they are fresh and new fare here on TV4U. Oh yeah, the show - spys, secret compartments, espionage, double agents, treachery, blah .blah,blah.
